Weekly Digest: Rebirth
This week was all about cycles of rebirth: the breakdown of your fictional world through decay, renewal, recycling, and other reinvigorations of and within your worldbuilding.
Rebirth, Renewal, and Revisiting Decay
Everything old is new again. Things age, break down, get repaired, and are reused. Autumn’s decay prepares the ground for springs regrowth. I hope that this week’s refresher on recycling and regeneration, and that you find your creative energy replenished!
Next week, I’ll be taking a look at ways to introduce conflict into your worldbuilding! Conflict is a critical component to storytelling and knowing where the stress points are in your world will make fueling your plots easier, and the stories you tell richer and more complex!
Curious how to create a digest, omgosh, learning substack is so much fun.
I literally just paste the links from the week's posts in by hand. Substack recognizes it's own links and auto-formats them. Then, when you hover over the block, it brings up a hamburger menu on the right from which you can select display size. Those are the small setting.
