It's the first time I've done anything video-related on Substack, and I have to say I'm impressed with how much thought and care has gone into the back end; like being able to auto-upload to YT and podcast streamers.
I assert that it's just as vital a skill for contemporary fiction, and even non-fiction, as it is for spec-fic.
Ever hear of a place called Stars Hollow, Avonlea, or Degrassi? Little slices of contemporary worldbuilding that feel so lifelike, we forget they aren't real.
*Radium Girls* tells the story of the workers who used to paint the toxic, radioactive paint on watch dials during WWII in Orange, NJ, and really paints a picture not only of the people and places, but also their lIves, goals, and ambitions, thus bringing home the true tragedy of their suffering that led to the founding of OSHA.
